  • Path2Parenthood

    Formerly known as The American Fertility Association, Path2Parenthood is an inclusive organization serving all demographics of the infertility and LGBT communities. Path2Parenthood provides educational seminars as well as comprehensive information on reproductive health, infertility prevention and treatment, and family building options including third-party assisted reproduction and adoption.

    SART is an organization that promotes and advances the standards for the practice of assisted reproductive technology to benefit reproductive patients, its membership, and society at large. This site can help you locate fertility clinics that adhere to the highest medical and ethical standards in reproductive medicine, as well as provide information concerning the success rates of their various programs.

    The American Academy of Adoption Attorneys is a national association of approximately 330 attorneys who practice, or have otherwise distinguished themselves, in the field of adoption law. The Academy’s work includes promoting the reform of adoption laws and disseminating information on ethical adoption practices.

    The InterNational Council on Infertility Information Dissemination (INCIID – pronounced “inside”) is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals and couples explore their family-building options. INCIID provides current information and immediate support regarding the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infertility and pregnancy loss, and offers guidance to those considering adoption or childfree lifestyles.

    GayParentsToBe is an organization devoted to providing information and support to LGBT couples and individuals as they navigate all of the options to bring a child into the world. Reproductive Medicine Associates of CT (RMACT) launched GayParentsToBe in an effort to more completely address the unique challenges same-sex couples and LGBT solo parents face when building their family. Based out of Connecticut and New York they work with an established professional network, including gestational carrier (surrogate), egg donor and sperm donor agencies, and legal counsel.

Discussion Boards

These are some great places to go to meet other infertile women/men and get information. Most of these websites have multiple discussion boards broken down by diagnosis (endometriosis or recurrent pregnancy loss) or stage of treatment (IUIs or IVF), and some of them have boards that are monitored by physicians (who answer questions).
